REAL and the Core Competencies

Our curriculum was written to meet the needs of educators interested in bringing activities-based entrepreneurship education into their learning environment. REAL facilitators are encouraged to use their own creative entrepreneurial qualities when designing lesson plans. However restrictions based on time, funding and often testing require that a REAL Entrepreneurship course earn its place in a full day’s schedule.

To help REAL facilitators make the connections between REAL Entrepreneurship Education and other core competencies, we have created the following documents:

  • REAL Core Competencies -Youth and Adult details the specific entrepreneurship and life skills that are developed during a REAL Entrepreneurship course.

Future additions to this page may include sample REAL course plans and an analysis of how REAL Entrepreneurship’s core competencies meet state educational standards.
