REAL Graduate Receives National Award

REAL Graduate Receives National Award

Ms. Rose Orange competed in the Business Plan Competition and placed 4th in the nation! Rose presented her own business plan for her new business Topiary Rose. Rose competed and placed higher than several major universities, including Arizona State University, and Virginia Tech. Rose previously won 1st place in North Carolina at the State PBL competition.

Rose Orange is a REAL Graduate from the Central Carolina Community College class in Lee County last Fall and was one of the two recipients of the “Best Plan” award presented by Bob Joyce, President, Sanford Area Chamber at the REAL Graduation in December 2007.

Additionally Rose was in the REAL target group that the SBC/REAL Enterprises “Learn to Assist” grant project was focused on and she has been a 100% user of all offerings made under that grant.

This is a great recognition for Rose, she has earned this award through very hard effort on her part. It is also a great recognition for the REAL program at Central Carolina Community College and Diane Kannarr, REAL Facilitator.
