Hop On The BUS! Winners Announced
Hop on the BUS! the Statewide High School Business Plan Competition announces the winners for 2010.
In celebration of National Entrepreneurship week the Hop on the BUS! Planning Team is proud to announce the following winners: *First Place- Amore Restaurant from Walter Williams High School in Burlington, Students: Tempest Walker, Corey Gwynn, and Anastasia Godfrey, their teacher is Rhonda Farmer *Second Place- RamWear Jewelry from Starmont High School in Boonville, Students: Courtney Luchey and Cory Hutchens, their teacher is Melanie Matthews *Third Place- Advantage Tennis Center from Charles B. Aycock High School in Pikeville, Students: Hollie Baker and Nicole Kessler, their teacher is Tammy Vail
Hop on the BUS! is a statewide business plan for all high school students in North Carolina. This is th fourth year of the competition. Students are asked to work in teams on a three part business plan. The plans are evaluated by small business professionals from across the state. The top ten teams are then asked to submit a video presentation. The top three teams are then chosen based on the strength of both their written plans and video presentations.
